The Newburyport Art association and the Firehouse Center for the Arts are pleased to announce their joint exhibit, presented in the Firehouse Gallery:
Love is LOVE!
Friday, February 12, 2021 - Sunday, March 28, 2021
A curated exhibit to celebrate love in its many fabulous forms, and shine a light on the artful joy of our community. We encourage artists to interpret the theme creatively and broadly. Note that due to the size of the Firehouse gallery the exhibit will be limited to 25-30 pieces. Selection will be based on the strength of the artwork and creative engagement with the theme.

Deadline for submission Sunday, January 31, 2021.
Notification of Accepted Works via email: Thursday, February 4, 2021
Receiving of Accepted Works at the Firehouse:
Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021 1PM - 5PM (see schedule below)
Pick-up at the Firehouse: Sunday, March 28 5-7PM & Monday,
March 29, 2021 1PM-5PM. Pick-up is mandatory. Please contact
the NAA before 3/28 if you are unable pick-up.
Requirements
Entry Fee: $19. (1 submission per artist)
Artist Plus/Master Artist submission is free, use discount code LOVE
Must create an artist profile on artcall.org to submit
Must be a current NAA member, go to newburyportart.org to join or renew
All work must be for sale
2D work only that is original, created within the past two years and conceived by the artist.
Maximum size: 40” X 40” or 1600 square inches
Work exhibited in one NAA show may be entered
No reproductions or giclees
No wet paintings
Gallery wrapped canvases must have deep profile with gessoed or painted sides
FRAMING REQUIREMENTS
Hardware for wood frames - screw-eyes or d-rings
Hardware for metal frames - hardware that screws into track
No saw tooth hangers, spring clips, tension mounts, standing photo or pop-in frames
Receiving Thursday February 11, 1-5PM- please adhere to the following schedule if possible:
A-F: 1-2PMG-L: 2-3PM
M-R: 3-4PM S-Z: 4-5PM
Insurance & Artist’s Responsibility
The NAA provides 65% of the retail value declared by the artist and is valid ONLY during show dates. All work is inspected for damage at receiving. Commission: NAA commission is 40% of sales.Submission constitutes agreement with all terms of the NAA show and artist grants rights of use of image for marketing purposes
